The terms for this site, and for working with us.

These terms are between you and the operating entity behind Citon, which is not yet named here and will be before this site is public, referred to below as we or us. Using this site means you accept the site terms. A signed engagement adds the rest.

Read it, quote it, send it to a colleague, cite it. What you may not do is scrape it at a rate that degrades it for anyone else, present its contents as your own work, or use it to build a directly competing service.

The one thing worth saying plainly: nothing on this site is a quote, an offer capable of acceptance, or advice about your specific situation. Pricing shown is what we currently charge and it can change. An engagement starts when both sides sign something, not when you read a page.

The Gap Report is free and it stays free. It is twelve queries, five repeats each, across three engines, delivered in five working days, and it is walked through with you on a call rather than sent as an attachment.

It comes with no obligation on you. It also comes with no obligation on us to take you on: we decline engagements where the measurement says there is nothing worth buying, and we will tell you that instead of selling you a retainer. A category definer who already wins both the category answer and the head to head is the usual case.

We measure where you stand in live AI answers, identify the pages those answers cite, and do the work to get you onto them. The specific scope, term and fee live in the engagement document. Where that document and this page disagree, that document wins.

We commit to the method. Every engagement runs against a held out control group, the baseline is registered before work starts, and at day 90 you get a causal reading of how much of the movement we caused, including when that number is disappointing. If we do not deliver that, we have not delivered.

We do not commit to a ranking. No agency controls what a model answers. Answers are unstable by nature: measured across 43,000 keywords, AI Overviews persist around 2.15 days and roughly 45.5 percent of citations change between consecutive observations, while the answer stays about 95 percent semantically the same. Anyone promising you a fixed position in that is either not measuring or not telling you.

That distinction is the whole product. We are accountable for running an instrument properly and reporting what it says. We are not accountable for a third party model's output, and we will not pretend otherwise to win the work.

Work produced for you under an engagement is yours: the pages, the placements, the data about your own visibility. Our measurement method, tooling and internal research stay ours.

We will not name you as a client, publish your results, or use your logo without you agreeing to it in writing first. If you would rather nobody knew you worked with us, that is a normal request and the answer is yes.

What you tell us about your category, your queries and your numbers stays between us, and is used only to do the work. That holds after an engagement ends and it holds if you decide not to start one.

Minimum terms are stated on the pricing page and in the engagement document. Past the minimum, either side can end it with thirty days written notice. If we end it early, we refund the unused balance. We do not hold work hostage: everything produced up to that point is handed over.

Our total liability under an engagement is capped at the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, which includes fraud.

These terms are governed by the law of a jurisdiction not yet stated here, which will be set before this site is public.
